On february 24th 2015 Martin Hecher from Fraunhofer Austria was presenting DURAARK on the conference “Digitale Bibliothek” (Digital Library) in Graz. The conference was dedicated to the motto “Unser digitales Gedächtnis” (Our Digital Memory).

The conference was organized by the “Austrian Centre for Digital Humanities, University of Graz” and “Europeana Local Austria”.

On sunday 1st of mach 2015 DURAARK was part of the austrian science broadcasting “matrix – computer & neue medien” on OE1.

“Die Angst vor dem digitalen Verlust – Langzeitarchivierung” (The fear of digital loss – long term preservation) was one of the two main topics. Eva Eggeling from Fraunhofer Austria discussed with other experts how digital data can be preserved for future generations.

DURAARK branding itself on Our Digital Memory!

DURAARK will present the ongoing research on long term archival of architectural data at the conference “Digitale Bibliothek” (Digital Library) in Graz, Austria on the Februar 23rd, 2015. The upcoming conference is dedicated to the motto “Unser digitales Gedächtnis” (Our Digital Memory). With lectures, workshops, a poster and commercial exhibition, the conference is an established forum for discussing specific requirements that should be considered in the design and establishment of modern online knowledge repository.

On friday 29th November the now fourth meeting in the series “Digitale Bibliothek” with the theme “Kulturelles Erbe in der Cloud” took place in Graz. The talks concentrated on topics of

New forms of IT services for cultural institutions,
business models and usage scenarios, and
services, technologies and methods.

Christian Caldera from Fraunhofer Austria represented the DURAARK project during the poster presentation.

René Berndt presented the DURAARK project at the traditional networking event of Fraunhofer Austria “Bauen of Fraunhofer” as one of the keynote speakers.

“Bauen auf Fraunhofer” is carried out in cooperation with the Styrian Business Promotion Agency SFG, which stands for national consultations on R & D funding opportunities and (international) technology transfer.

DURAARK will be presented during the poster session at the 4. Tagung Digitale Bibliothek 2013 – Kulturelles Erbe in der Cloud. The event this year is focusing on cloud-based services for cultural institutions, especially libaries and museums.

The event will take place in Graz, Austria between 21-22 November 2013.
