DURAARK explores Semantic Digital Archives

DURAARK partners will attend the 17th International Conference on Theory and Practice of Digital Libraries (TPDL) and present an early roadmap and some initial results related to the DURAARK Semantic Digital Archive during the collocated 3rd International Workshop on Semantic Digital Archives (SDA). The SDA2013 workshop scope – “shifting the focus of (traditional) digital archives to knowledge representation and management issues surrounding digital preservation” – is a natural fit with the DURAARK activities on exploiting Web data and knowledge, in particular Linked Data, for enriching architectural models and data. The DURAARK paper, co-authored by partners from the L3S Research Center, TU Eindhoven, Bonn University and Fraunhofer Austria, will introduce the most recent activities and future plans for building a semi-automatically curated archive of architectural Web knowledge.

TPDL2013 will take place in Valetta, Malta between 22-26 September and we are anticipating an interesting conference and workshop.
